Mischi Walter, CH, 37 :
Mischi began kite instruction giving snowkite lessons in “Kite Eye Snow Kite school” on Simplon Pass, on the border between Italy and Switzerland in 1999. He then gave courses in various international locations, Costa Rica , Marocco or Egypt (“Surfmotion” in Soma bay, “Kite station Hotel Mövenpick” in El Gouna).
Since 2006 he has lived in Sri Lanka and gives Kitesurf courses to foreign & local people.
Beside the Kite, he likes to learn languages. Today he can give courses in English, French, German (and Swiss German), Dutch and Italian.
Thomas Steiger, CH, 33:
Thomas is IKO Certified Instructor and started with kitesurfing 2008. Since 2 Years he’s traveling and teaching on many different kitespots around the world, like: Brazil, Australia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
With Sri Lanka he found the best place on the world to improve his own kiting skills and the best place to teach other kitesurfers.
Thomas can teach in German and English.
Will Yates, UK, 29:
Will started Kitesurfing 2006 and is certified IKO Instructor. He’s been teaching the last four years in the Philippines. Last year he found his little paradise in Sri Lanka. He loves to loop his 9m kite in strong wind, and you will love is excellent teaching skills.
Will can teach you in perfect british english.
Mike Chomley, OZ :
IKO qualified instructor. Partner with Fairooz in the Kitekuda project – Avid adventure water sports fan – Kitesurfer - Windsurfer – Diver – Surfer – Anything ‘Ocean’. Pioneer with Marcel in Kitesurfing ‘Dreamspot’ north of Kalpitya and, also along with Marcel, the discoverer of Kappaladi lagoon as a top class teaching and flatwater venue for kitesurfing and windsurfing.
Mawfeel :
Trainee Manager at Kitekuda – Will prepare your breakfasts – Assist in the kitchen with your meals and help with your house keeping – Is a proficient kitesurfer in his own right and will also assist Mischi, Will and Thomas on the beach with teaching and general kitesurfing tasks. Generally known as the “Cheeky Bugger”.
Fairooz :
Partner with Mike in the Kitekuda project – Has been a long time friend and supporter of kitesurfers since Mike and Marcel discovered Kappaladi Lagoon as a first class teaching and flatwater location.
Is a village leader in the local community and is involved in local and national politics – has been instrumental in the development of excellent relations between the local communities and the kitesurfing visitors.
Is not yet a kite surfer but we “Never say Never!”

Sudarshan :
Security – General hand around Kitekuda – You will see his torch light patrolling the camp at night and he will watch over Kitekuda whilst we are away sailing during the day. In charge of maintenance and development of Kitekuda facility.
